Wedding To-Do List: Find the perfect bridal lehenga. Every little girl dreams of looking like a queen in her bridal lehenga on her wedding day. Her wedding lehenga is one of the most important attires of her life, something that you will remember for the rest of your life.

The bridal lehenga is the first thing that the bride starts looking for as soon as that date is fixed with the families. And trust us, we understand that the search is no piece of cake. There are so many types of lehengas including georgette, crepe, net, floral and the list goes on.

The bridal lehenga is more than just another attire for your wedding, it is the embodiment of the designer's vision, the craftsman's skills, and your dreams. A lot of research is required to build up that perfect lehenga for that beautiful bride. Especially considering the changing wedding trends every now and then, you need to be updated before picking your lehenga for D-Day. So, if you are a lucky bride getting married this wedding season, We have done the research for you to find the trendiest wedding lehenga cholis for you.

What is a Lehenga Choli?

For those who are new to the world of Indian ethnic wear for women, I want the just give a brief introduction to what is a lehenga choli?

A lehenga is similar to a long skirt that hangs from the waist and falls almost till the length of your ankles. The lehenga created for special occasions like weddings is decorated with pleats, delicate embroidery, brocades, and more. The lehenga is paired with a crop top like blouse known as choli, that leaves the lower back and midriff bare. The ensemble is completed with a heavily embellished dupatta draped around in different styles.

With that out of the way, let's get started with the list of our top 7 lehenga trends for the wedding season.

Velvet Lehenga

The trend of velvet lehengas is one of my favorite wedding trends. Even without a lot of embroideries or embellishments, lehengas made from the luxurious velvet fabric look magnificent and make the bride look absolutely royal. Additionally, the soft pleats on the velvet lehenga are quite flattering along with the A-line lehenga with a full-flare, which is coincidentally one of the most demanding looks of the season.

Net Lehenga Choli

Leave it on the modern Indian bride to fuse their personal style of lightweight and subtle fabrics with the latest wedding trends with lehenga choli made of net. The elegance and sheerness of the net fabric are heightened when molded into a beautiful net lehenga. Too cool for school? You further enrich the net lehenga with shimmer lace, brocade or even minute embroidery or zari and stonework. Basically, you can't go wrong with a Net lehenga choli on your wedding day

Georgette Lehenga

Imagine you on your wedding day you are walking down the stage looking like a goddess in a shiny Georgette lehenga choli. Are you falling in love with yourself thinking about it? That's what a wedding lehenga made from the soft and fluid Georgette can make you feel- in love with yourself! Unless designed otherwise, most Georgette lehengas will offer you an A-line look and the fabric look good on all skin and body types. We are certain that a Georgette lehenga is sure to resemble your dream wedding scene.

Traditional Bridal Lehenga

This season's wedding trends brought back some of the old school designs of the traditional bridal lehenga. We saw the return of the beautiful traditional bridal lehengas, some adorned with brocade, others made from Kajeevaram and Banarasi silk.

Anarkali Lehenga

The Indian ethnic wear designers are upping their game with the fusion of two of the best Indian ethnic attires that are Anarkali dresses and Lehenga choli and creating the latest celebrity favorite Anarkali Lehenga. This style of lehenga choli replaces the traditional choli with a long Anarkali that goes down until the length of the lehenga or a few inches higher, both of which look auspiciously breathtaking. Any bride wearing this royal attire is surely not going to be forgotten very easily.

Brocade Lehenga Choli

Brocade Lehengas are also making a great comeback in the wedding lehenga scene. Not to forget the added nostalgia for the mother and mothers-in-law of the bride who will be reminded of their wedding lehengas and sarees when seeing you decked up in a brocade lehenga. Additionally, brocade comes with its own gold pattern design which looks rich on its own and saves you on spending on the expensive embroidery and handwork.

Floral Lehengas

Dil garden garden ho gaya quite literally! This wedding season witnessed a lot of floral print lehengas and HOW! And we are sure that it is going to be an even bigger thing for the next few years as well. We saw a lot of brides choosing the light and breezy floral printed lehengas over the traditional red and gold heavily embellished lehengas for D-Day look.

If you are a bride to be with a more subtle style than those heavily embellished bridal lehengas, floral bridal lehengas are worth your time and money. They are lightweight and look phenomenal!

Pastel Lehenga Choli

The rising trend of stunning pastel lehengas is not surprising at all. There is a certain charm to the soothing pastel lehengas that are loved by a lot of modern Indian brides. From blush pink and ivory to icy blue and more, these quirky brides are ditching the bright red and experimenting with the lighter colors and we are loving it!

Are you as excited about the wedding season as us? We love everything about weddings, from dressing up in ecstatic ethnic wear, having a gala time with friends and family to clicking those Insta worthy selfies. Whether you are the bride or a guest attending the wedding party, dressing for the event is not optional so make sure you bring your A-game.

So which of these top trending lehenga cholis are you selecting for this wedding season?
